we're goin' to the zoo zoo zoo

or...we went.
I surprised Chad with a "free" weekend...thanks to Omaha Mutual turning 100 and offering a "Wild About Omaha" weekend of activities!
on Friday night, we went wine tasting in a botanical garden followed by an art museum featuring a live latin group.
we then camped out in our NEW tent (note: get something soft to sleep on and DO NOT pick a spot close to the bathrooms, but DO pick a spot on a lake so you can watch the sunrise from your tent!!)
Saturday, we headed to the world renowned Omaha Zoo (with 32,000 other people-no lie!) and I included some pictures below...
then we hit an Omaha Royals game at Rosenblatt before heading home!

hi us! we rode on this ski lift type thing over several of the animals habitats: cheetah, gazelle, rhinocerous, monkeys and fish to name a few








this white tiger was only pretending to nap-isn't that blue eye beautiful?

why are the monkey's so great? this gal was performing for us hoping for a snack!
